Purpose and scope

This policy explains the use of cookies, local storage, session storage and similar technologies in SchemaCommunity.

It supplements the privacy policy (document key privacy).

Essential cookies

SchemaCommunity uses essential cookies that are required for login and security.

• Session cookie
  • Name: schemacommunity_session
  • Purpose: keep you signed in (session) and enable access to protected areas
  • Properties: HTTP-only, sameSite=lax, secure in production
  • Retention: 7 days

Functional cookies

• Language selection
  • Name: locale
  • Purpose: stores the UI language
  • Retention: 1 year

Local storage / session storage

SchemaCommunity uses local browser storage for comfort features. Examples (non-exhaustive):

• Local storage

  • onboarding/getting started: schemacommunity_gs_progress_<userId|guest>, schemacommunity_gs_intro_seen_<userId|guest>
  • walkthrough/tour: schemacommunity_walkthrough_completed(<userId>), schemacommunity_walkthrough_dismissed(<userId>)
  • saved events list: schemacommunity:savedEvents
  • UI defaults (e.g. cancellation defaults): schemacommunity:cancellation-defaults

• Session storage

  • navigation/scroll: navStacks.v1, navScrollPositions.v1
  • contextual UI hints: intervision:patientApp:nudgeDismissed

Third-party technologies (map view)

If you enable the map view in the directory, the Google Maps JavaScript API is loaded from maps.googleapis.com. Google may use cookies/similar technologies.

You can avoid this by using list or grid view.

How to control cookies

You can delete or block cookies via your browser settings.

Note: If essential cookies are blocked (in particular schemacommunity_session), login and use of protected areas is not possible.
